I haven't been posting for a while I know but listen - it was a great busy time I had and no, I forgot my converter at home so there are no photos today. I'm sorry.
Well, I'll start with Thanksgiving. It was D E L I C I O U S. With Thanksgiving I gave up my vegetarism for a month (plus a couple of days). I tried turkey. But you know, the best is the stuffing of the turkey and the sweet potatoes. They're simply the best feast I've ever had. So I started eating meat. It was weird in the beginning and honestly I don't have much desire for it but then you try Buffalo chicken wings and they're fantastic. Okay, I'm not only posting about meat today. There's way more.
The weekend before Thanksgiving we had our Scrooge production. That's a musicial that my school plays every year as a tradition but also a fund raiser. I got the part of the toy shop owner: Mrs Dawnkins. In that play there are also a lot of really really young kids but it was fun. The week after there was Thanksgiving on Thursday. I already talked about that haha. That week we had a short break of four days. Then I made the first ginger bread houses since I was seven or so. But I really enjoyed it and you know, you're never too old, that's impossible. :-)
At some day we had auditions for The Addams Family which is gonna be our spring production. And I can't wait to start rehearsing for that.
Then there's been snowball. That was in the Avon Inn which is closing now and I was glad I've been in there since it's closing so soon. It was a little fancier than homecoming dance but you know what? I do bad at dancing and so what. I enjoyed the food.
Oh the weekend before christmas I was in Rochester. The philharmonic orchestra of Rochester has a concert with a lot of students from many school around Rochester like ours every year. Because I couldn't participate in it I went to watch it. But our group of singers and me went to BBQ Dinosaur which is a great place to have a barbeque and afterwards we went to the Strong Museum which I loved. (The Sesame Street was part of it!!) And I really enjoyed the concert!
So then we had christmas. Guys, I'm gonna see Bonnie Raitt in concert. Yeah, you're prolly like oh cool, who is that again? She's one of my favorite artist, no - the favorite artist and she's a great Blues musician and song writer. Plus she plays the guitar beautifully. However I'm gonna see her in March in Rochester and I'm so excited! Also I got a master class for the Wizard of Oz and tickets for the show. The master class is something like a workshop before the show. And that's in January. So exciting!! I also got a varsity jacket with my name on. Ouh yeah, I'm original dude!
My last present is the most exciting one for right now! I got train tickets for New York City where I am right now. Or rather Long Island. I'm staying with one of my really close friends from the Peace Project last summer.. And we're having a ton of fun. And I will post a ton of pictures for sure, don't worry. So here I'll stay for the rest of the year and longer (HAHA, it's December 29th so there are only two days left lol). I love bad jokes. So I'll stay for ten days I think and fortunately I'll see everyone again. Exciting stuff guys.
By the way. Freyja the girl I'm staying with and me are going to an (my first) opera! Fancy dude

Volleyball season
Hey guys,
Volleyball season is over. I'm pretty sad because my team was just awesome. We had as many fun moments as emotional moments and we grew together... We made it so far, to Sectional Finals! The girls worked hard and fought til the last second and I'm so proud of them.
So here's a little throw back:
We started in the middle of August, before school started and had about four hours practice daily. It was sooo hard, I don't know how I made that... I used to play volleyball a little back in Germany but it wasn't like that. You can't compare one practice a week with five practices a week and games...
The time we practised was shorter after the summer break but even more exhausting because of school, it was hard to do all of my homework when I came back after a game at eight or nine but it was doable and still, I was so glad I was part of the team!
After some weeks everybody, or rather I, got used to it and it was more like spending time with friends. And suddenly we had our Senior night, which was supposed to be our last homegame. The other girls from the team and the coach wrote letters and the JV team made poster... It was just so lovely! And then we had our last game of the season, it was a Dig Pink game and it's a fund-raiser for brest cancer (everythings pink lol).
All games after that were sectionals. (Kreismeisterschaften) We won the first three games that brought us to the finals. And it was the second time in Avon School history that a volleyball team made it so far! Also I got to know Gang Green. Those are the crazy people that come to cheer for the basketball teams (or volleyball sectionals). Wearing wigs and body colors...
Last Monday we had our volleyball banquet. It was a dinner we had. The coaches delivered speeches and I also got a award for being 'most improved'. I want to thank my coach so much for that, because without her I wouldn't have had improved my skills like that! Thank you so much!!
I wanted to start basketball, but I coulnd't because of our spring musicial in which I participate... So I will have A LOT of free time the next couple of weeks!

Homecoming Week 10/4 to 10/11
Hey guys,
That's probably the saddest moment of the week, because IT'S ENDED.
The past week was homecoming week or also spirit week. It actually started on sunday when we met in school to decorate the hallway. Before we've chosen a theme for every grade. It had to be a state. The senior's theme was Hawaii so our hallway looked like that. It was sooo cool, we had palms, a bar, a vulcano and a waterfall (made out of paper, ok, but still impressive!). We had a lot of fun!
During the spirit week we had different themes how to dress. Monday was Hawaii of course. Tuesday was Rock'n'Roll vs Country. Of course I've chosen Rock'n'Roll, what else? On Wednesday I was a football playER, because we had to dress like something that ended with er. That day we also had our Powder Puff Game. It was hilarious. The girls play football against each other and the boys are cheering. The best was that we wore their jerseys and they wore the cheerleader's clothing.
Thursday we had green-white day because those are the colors of our school.
After school we had the Pep-Assembly which was amaaazing. For my german friends: It's kinda like the "11er Programm" but much better. First they announced the Homecoming Court. My host brother got in it for the Juniors and me and another exchange stundent became homecoming queen and king for the seniors. Guys - I was happy about it, but still, I can't imagine that.
After that they played some games. The first one was about taping your teacher on the wall. Haha, it was hilarious.
On friday we had a day off what I really enjoyed. That night we had our homecoming football game. We won haha. Honestly our football team is pretty good this year so they didn't lose a game yet. The games are always so much fun. I don't know any rules or the techniques or whatever but just sitting there and being with your friends is soo cool. Okay, literally cool. I always sit there in leggings and sweat pants and then I wear a t-shirt, a pullover, a winter jacket and an Avon Braves Jacket. And it would still be very cold without a blanket, gloves and a hot chocolate.
Satturday was the homecoming dance. We met at a friends house to take photos and then we went to the school where the dance has been.
All the girls wore the highest heels I've ever seen but don't think they would dance in those. I realized that they wear them to the school and then they take them off and they go barefeet dancing. Guys believe it or not, I danced. (And I had fun doing it) Also I found out that there's a dance move called Charly Brown. looool
After the dance I slept over at an other friends house. We had a lot of fun there too lol. I realized that I love this place and I don't wanna think about leaving (I know, it's still far away but it might be closer than you think).
At the end of the week (today to be exact) the chorus went to a Broadway Show in Rochester called Newsies. It was quit impressive and although I didn't understand all of it I enjoyed it.

Happy 17th Birthdayyy!
Thank you for this amazing birthday that I had. It was an awesome and unique day. But pretty buisy though.
After school I went home to skype with my parents. Then I went back to my practice. I got brownies from Caroline which was sooo nice of her! After practice I went out with my family. And when we came back home I got so beautiful presents!! I was pretty overwhelmed! Also I got some flowers from Germany hehe!
This weekend the exchange stundents from the Finger Lakes Team met in a Camp. We had so much fun yeyyy! :) We talked a lot about our countries and I took some photos of course :)
(Instead of writing, I have a really lazy day today sorry, I'm gonna post photos ok?)
