Can somebody help me define 'home'? I feel like I have plenty all over the world. Right now I'm sitting in the train back to Rochester. I spent some time with all my friends on Long Island and saying Goodbye was challenging me badly.
So here's my little review:
I stayed with Freyja one of my really really close friends here in America. The first time in New York I spent with Ryan though. We spent a day on walking the High Line, taking the Subway, going to Tiffany's (*__*) giong to Timesquare and try for Hamilton, the most popular musical on Broadway right now. Because it was so close to New Years Eve there were a ton of people hoping for tickets. We didn't get any. Too sad. On the whole we walked a lot through Manhattan and it was so exciting. I've seen the Rockefeller Christmas tree as well as the Hershey's store (which by the way is fantastic).
The next day two friends of mine came over and I watched Star Wars for the very first time. Okay, I confess, that I'm glad I've seen it by now. However, I was so glad that I had the chance to see them :-) That day I also tried my first real burger. It was really good. That reminds me that today is the day I'm willing to resign meat again.
The weekend we spent in New York City near the Lincoln Center. It was amaaaazing!
The first day we went ice skating in Central Park and we saw Wicked, which was so good! On Saturday we went to the Natural History Museum (where Night at the Museum took place) and saw all the dinosaurs. Plus: I went to my first opera in the Lincoln center. Fun fact: a german opera, sung in english: Die Fledermaus. Sunday we went to the Metropolitan Museum and to the show 'Spring Awakening'. I later found out that I already knew that show since we almost performed it in school. It also is a very famous german piece.
And then we went back. :-(
The last two days I spent in the Friends Academy to see everybody that I hadn't seen yet. Now I am here. I wish I could stay longer.
